Major change coming to MMIS and member eligibility on August 1
Are you a health care provider or office that has a contract with CareOregon, Kaiser Permanente, Providence or Tuality Health to see Health Share of Oregon members? Then please read the following notice about major changes to MMIS on August 1, 2013.
If your office has not yet registered as a new user on Health Share of Oregon’s new provider portal, you must do so before August 1 in order to check Health Share member eligibility and health plan assignments.
The new portal replaces MMIS for checking the eligibility status of Oregon Health Plan members assigned to the Portland area Coordinated Care Organization (CCO). Provider offices that see Health Share CCO members can find the portal link, plus information on registration, training and frequently asked questions on the Providers pages of Health Share’s website.
As of August 1, 2013, MMIS will no longer provide the health plan assignment for Health Share members. In addition, 270/271 automated eligibility inquiries to the Oregon Health Authority’s Division of Medical Assistance Programs’ (MAP) MMIS system will not identify the plan partner to which the member is assigned.
If your office has not yet registered as a new user to gain access to the web portal, PH Tech’s secure Clinical Integration Manager (CIM), please call PH Tech support today at 503-584-2169, selecting Option 2 for CIM New User Registration or Password Changes.
Once you are registered and activated by PH Tech Provider Relations, each user in a provider office may then directly register other users in your office. Each user of CIM in your office will require a unique username and password. A video on the Health Share website provides a step-by-step guide to using the new portal.
In addition, all provider offices will have access to online training material and a webinar on the PH Tech site.
